EPG stands for electronic program guide — it's the on-screen listing that shows what's playing right now and what's coming up next, across every channel, without having to switch channels one by one to find out.
What the EPG actually does
Instead of guessing what's on, the EPG lays out a schedule you can browse. In the Apollo Player, it covers a full 7-day window, so you can see what's playing now and what's coming up across every channel without leaving the guide.
How to use it
Open the guide from within the Player to browse channels and their schedules together, rather than flipping through channels one at a time to see what's currently airing.
If the guide isn't showing or looks empty
A few things are worth checking before assuming something's broken:
- Restart the Player app — this clears up most temporary display issues.
- Check your internet connection — guide data loads over the same connection as your streams, so a weak or dropped connection can leave it empty or stuck loading.
- Confirm the Player is up to date — it updates automatically on launch; if an update was interrupted, reopening it after a full device restart usually finishes the job.
When to contact support
If the guide still isn't loading after a restart and a connection check, that's worth reporting directly rather than troubleshooting further on your own — contact support and let them know what you're seeing.
